![]() This attack deals a small amount of damage but also stuns Sora. The first will send out a shockwave that you should jump over to avoid. To start, the Darkside has two attacks that begin with it punching the ground. The Darkside can only be damaged when you attack either of its hands or its head. Again, these should all be familiar controls to you at this point.Īfter defeating the first three Shadows, a watery Darkside will appear to challenge Sora.Ī Darkside has a few different attacks, but they are thankfully very slow and well telegraphed. Use while standing still to Block, or while moving to Dodge Roll out of the way. You don't need to learn and equip them anymore!Īs usual, is attack, and is jump. Of note is that Sora begins with the Guard and Dodge Roll Abilities. ![]() You will go through a basic combat tutorial against a series of Shadows. Sora will be brought to a new area where Heartless will appear. When you are satisfied with your choices, select the "Yes" option to proceed. After passing through this option, you will not be able to change it without starting a brand new game. You have one last chance to re-evaluate your choices. For more detailed information, please see the "Re:Mind Premium Menu" page of the Walkthrough. A Challenging Adventure should only be tried on New Game+. I recommend selecting a Usual Adventure if this is your first time playing the game. There are separate Achievements for choosing an Easy Adventure or a Challenging Adventure. Choosing the Challenging Adventure (right option) activates the Premium Menu, and the Pro Codes. Choosing the Easy Adventure (center option) activates the Premium Menu, and the EZ Codes. Choosing the Usual Adventure (left option) lets you play the game as normal. This option only appears if you start a New Game or New Game+ with the Re:Mind DLC installed. For a casual playthrough, your choice isn't that important, but I recommend Guardian or Mystic. In general, the Guardian path focuses on defensive Abilities, Warrior grants earlier access to offensive Abilities, and the power of the Mystic augments your magic. Leaf Bracer appears at level 14 while on the Mystic Path, but not until level 26 or 28 on the Guardian or Warrior paths, respectively. Other Abilities will appear at different spots depending on the focus of the path. Certain levels will give the same Abilities no matter the path you choose (such as learning Auto-Finish at level 5 or Attraction Extender at level 22). The next three options will determine the Abilities that Sora learns as he levels up. On Critical, you will want to select Wisdom. ![]() In my opinion, Balance is the best choice for a casual run. Choosing Wisdom gives you 90HP and 120MP. With the "desire" choice, you are determining Sora's starting Hit Points and Magic Points. You can find all the information you could possibly want on these choices over on the General Info page, but I have provided a shorter version here. As with Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, the following choices will determine Sora's starting stats and what Abilities he will learn as he levels up. Still images will appear, presenting various key moments from the games leading up to this point. Interacting with the mirror upgrades Sora to his KH2 clothes. You should be familiar and comfortable with the controls at this point, but it is helpful to pay attention, especially if it has been a while since you played the earlier games. The basic controls will be laid out for you here, including movement and situation commands. ![]()
